Advik Gurus is the brainchild of Dr. Sathyanarayana Srikantha, (renowned endocrinologist, associated with Sagar Hospital, Bangalore). Dr. Srikantha has been a strong advocate of yoga and naturopathy. He believes it to be a science that stretches well beyond medical research, able to cure and relieve in a simplistic manner.

The idea behind the creation of Advik Gurus was to bridge the gap between serving the underprivileged and privileged. It was firmly believed that Advik Gurus ought to offer expertise in yogic healing to those in need as well as serve the neglected section of society with basic medical necessities and care. Thus, Advik Gurus embarked on the journey with this novel two pronged approach to serving humankind.

The functioning of Advik Gurus is supported by a devoted team of yoga professionals and volunteers, who share Dr. Srikantha’s vision in creating a happier and healthier society. Endeavours such as these are rare and few. Advik Gurus’ sole intention is to serve. It also seeks to collaborate with other organisations to fortify its dedicative effort in serving society at large.

Advik's mission is to provide health care options for those with various ailments, be it an ageing individual, stressed youth or an underprivileged person. It seeks to reach out far and wide to make a resounding impact on mankind in every way possible. Our society unfortunately is mired with endless daily complications and simple solutions we offer will potentially transform lives in immeasurable ways.

For the elderly, we look to alleviate the aches, pains and diseases related with the ageing process. We counsel them on how to manage their age-related issues to give them a sense of self confidence and control of their lives.

For the youth, which are embroiled in work-related tensions, relationship issues and substance addiction, we assist by helping them through meditation and relaxation techniques which in turn help them enhance efficiency, improve relations, and attempt to reduce dependence on alcohol or tobacco.

Last but not least, we seek to help the underprivileged by providing educative opportunities in order to improve their living conditions. We believe this also empowers them to succeed in other areas of life by freeing them from their most basic problems.
